Introduction
At Procurify, the potential of embedded finance was largely untapped. Although the platform offered spend management tools, its payments features lacked a cohesive strategy. This presented a unique opportunity to build a transactional revenue engine from the ground up.
Strategy and Execution
As Group Product Manager, I developed a unified payments strategy encompassing Accounts Payable, Bill Pay, and Spend Cards. After securing executive buy-in, I hired and led a new product team focused on execution. Key initiatives included integrating Airwallex for international payments, redesigning the Financial Account experience, and launching ERP integrations to streamline finance workflows.
The Financial Account redesign addressed a critical trust gap for enterprise customers by providing detailed transaction views, filtering options, and monthly reporting tools. ERP integrations ensured smoother workflows for finance teams and unlocked deeper adoption among existing clients.
Results and Impact
These efforts resulted in a 64% year-over-year increase in transaction revenue and a 40% month-over-month increase in product adoption. The Financial Account improvements also helped retain two of the company's largest enterprise clients. By creating a clear roadmap and product architecture for embedded finance, Procurify positioned itself to scale its payments business significantly.
